$800-$900 per day + Super up to 12 Month+ Contract in the CBDYour new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Specialist to join a large-scale, industry-leading organisation supporting a high-performing maintenance and project governance function.
This role will see you partnering closely with operational and project stakeholders, providing financial reporting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial support across a portfolio of strategic programmes.
Working within a collaborative and quick-paced environment, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insights, supporting decision-making, and ensuring strong financial governance across multiple projects and operational initiatives.Your new role Prepare monthly financial reporting packs and performance analysis for senior stakeholders.Monitor project expenditure against budgets and forecasts.Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights.Develop and maintain project cost forecasts and budget projections.Manage accruals and ensure compliance with financial controls and governance requirements.Support procurement and financial processes, including purchase requisitions and invoice management.Partner with project managers and operational stakeholders to drive financial performance.Assist with budgeting, planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce,



or a related discipline and possess previous experience in management accounting, project accounting, commercial finance, or project control environments.You will also demonstrate:Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
Highly regarded experience includes exposure to mining, resources, engineering, infrastructure, or heavy industry environments, along with Power BI and CA/CPA qualifications (or progress towards completion).
