This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with management accounting and government experience to step into an immediate start contract role with potential for extension.Your new companyOur client is a large State Government organisation responsible for supporting multiple operational portfolios across Western Australia.
Based in East Perth, the Finance Business Partnering function provides financial management, budgeting, reporting and strategic financial advice across 13 portfolios.
Due to increased workload and project demands, an chance has arisen for a Finance Business Officer (Level 4) to join the team on an initial three-month contract.
Your new roleReporting to a Senior Finance Business Coordinator and working closely with Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders, you will provide financial support and analysis to assist with the effective management of portfolio budgets and financial performance.
Responsibilities will include:Assisting with budget development, allocation processes and cash flow forecastingMonitoring expenditure, commitments and financial performance against budgetsPreparing journals, reconciliations, management reports and financial analysisReviewing funding requests and providing recommendations to managementConducting expenditure analysis and investigating financial variances and trendsSupporting the preparation of business cases,
