To support successful project delivery, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team.This role will initially be based in our Brisbane project office during the planning and mobilisation phase before transitioning to a Sunshine Coast site-based position as construction activities progress.
Applicants should currently reside in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast or be willing to relocate to the Sunshine Coast.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain strong HSEQ awareness and ensure compliance across all project activitiesCoordinate and oversee construction activities in accordance with project requirementsMonitor construction programs and drive performance against key project milestonesManage subcontractor and supplier engagement, including procurement, negotiation and contract administrationSupport the preparation and review of project forecasts, budgets and cost reportsIdentify and manage project risks, variations and contractual obligationsCoordinate the preparation and review of work packs, methodologies,



ITPs and project documentationAssist with design management and the resolution of construction-related issuesMaintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key project stakeholdersCoordinate project meetings, planning activities and site interfacesSupport financial performance through effective cost control and commercial managementDrive productivity and construction outcomes across complex infrastructure worksAbout YouDegree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience as a Project Engineer delivering infrastructure or civil construction projectsExperience working for a principal contractorStrong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning and project controlsExperience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site-based work crewsSound knowledge of contract administration, cost control and commercial project deliveryAbility to identify, manage and mitigate project risksStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsHigh level of organisation, planning and attention to detailCommitment to safety, quality and environmental outcomesWillingness to transition to a Sunshine Coast site-based role as project delivery progressesWhy BMD?
