Accountant Permanent CBD Education Sector 5 days in officeYour current company You'll be working in the CBD, close to buses and trains, and with cafés on your doorstep.
You'll be joining a well-established Education sector business, with a for-purpose outlook.
The finance team don't recruit very often, and staff retention is excellent.Your new role You will have responsibility for end-to-end accounting for one of the operating units, and you will have a deep involvement with the wider Finance team.
Your main duties will cover the following accounting tasks: - Supervising contractual invoicing - Oversight and input into the trial balance - Monthly, quarterly, and annual management and financial reporting - Variance analysis and forecasting - Liaising with internal and external stakeholders - Assisting business units with budget preparation - Working with business managers to deliver operational reporting - Regular reforecasting - Routine month end activitiesWhat you'll need to succeed You'll need to be CPA, CA, or CIMA qualified with 5+ years' experience in a finance role.
Other requirements include:



- Demonstrated interpersonal skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Natural curiosity to investigate variances and understand root causes - Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen - Must be able to pass a Police CheckWhat you'll get in return Your new team are friendly, welcoming and supportive, with a mixture of backgrounds, experience and personalities.
