Senior Financial Accountant - Global Manufacturing organisation Geelong Up to $135k + SuperYour current company: An established and growing product-based business is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Geelong finance team.
Operating within an international environment, the organisation offers stability, strong leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting and business performance.This position is ideally suited to a technically strong accountant looking to take ownership of reporting and compliance responsibilities while continuing to develop their commercial capabilities.Your new role: Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, compliance and financial operations across the business.Key responsibilities include:Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reportingBalance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and provisionsMonth-end and year-end close activitiesBudgeting, forecasting and cash flow reportingVariance analysis and performance reportingBAS preparation and statutory compliance requirementsSupporting external audits and tax compliance processesMonitoring working capital and cash flow performanceAssisting with foreign currency transactions and international reporting requirementsDriving process improvement initiatives and strengthening financial controlsProviding support and guidance across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsWhat you'll need to succeed: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or CommerceCA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar roleStrong financial reporting and month-end accounting experienceExposure to budgeting, forecasting, compliance and audit processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder management capabilitiesA hands-on approach and the ability to work across a broad range of finance activitiesExperience within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, agribusiness or a product-based environment will be highly regarded.What you'll get in return: Permanent full-time opportunityGeelong-based roleSalary package of up to $135,000 plus superannuationExposure to an international business environmentDirect mentoring from an experienced CFOBroad financial accounting and commercial exposureStable and supportive team cultureOpportunity to influence reporting, systems and process improvementsWhat you need to do now: If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or email Hays Business Director Finance - Adam Swinton at .
