Our beautifully designed and meticulously crafted apartments offer the perfect blend of style, comfort and value.As we embark on an exciting series of projects, we are looking for an exceptional Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in high-rise residential construction and possess strong leadership qualities.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Procurment, the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the contracts and costs of our construction projects.
This involves carrying out studies of project duration and labour costs, examining and analysing material costs, setting up orders and certifying subcontractor payments, managing works to the contract and finalising the commercial close of projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost plans, budgets and Bill of Quantities rates, and agree final accountsManage the tender process, including scopes of work, procurement schedules, subcontract packages and tender comparisonsNegotiate with subcontractors to secure advantageous terms,



and assess risk on contracts and agreementsManage and challenge progress claims, variations and payments to tight deadlines, including payment schedules under the Security of Payment ActPrepare weekly and monthly commercial reports, with accountability for forecasting, cash flow and anticipated final accountIdentify and implement value engineering initiativesProvide input into cost loading and construction programs, and prepare extension of time claimsResolve contractual issues with subcontractors and work with the design team to close out unresolved design items before tenderAttend site to verify completed works, review contractor progress and support site activitiesManage project close-out, including warranties, certifications, as-builts, Deeds of Release and documentation required for the Occupation CertificateSkills and ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar6+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, including on high-rise residential projectsStrong commercial acumen, with proven forecasting, cost planning and contract administration skillsProficiency in Cubit and BluebeamAbility to read and interpret plans, drawings and specificationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised and detail-driven, with the ability to manage competing deadlinesA proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to quality outcomes
