This is a strategic management position that will oversee all aspects of our glass and aluminium production operations.
You will be responsible for optimising production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, ensuring workplace safety compliance, and leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional results.
This role is pivotal to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our competitive edge in the building trades industry.Key responsibilitiesManage daily production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation across all production linesMonitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process, implementing corrective actions when necessary to ensure compliance with industry specificationsOversee team performance and productivity, setting targets whilst providing support to production staffEnsure strict adherence to workplace health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing preventative measuresManage inventory and materials,



coordinating with procurement to ensure effective stock levels and timely delivery of suppliesMaintain and coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment, liaising with maintenance teams to minimise downtimeImplement process improvements and optimisation strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance profitabilityPrepare and analyse production reports, providing regular updates to senior management on operational performance and identifying areas for improvementLiaise with sales and customer service teams to ensure production schedules align with customer requirements and delivery deadlinesManage budget expenditure and control costs without compromising quality or safety standardsWhat we're looking forProven experience in production operations management, preferably within the glass, aluminium, or related manufacturing environmentsStrong knowledge of glass and aluminium production processes, materials, and equipmentDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience in staff development and performance managementExcellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesSound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices within a production environmentProficiency in production management systems and data analysis toolsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiativesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across departmentsRelevant qualifications in production management, operations management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
