PHILANTHROPY MANAGER | CATHERINE HAMLIN FISTULA FOUNDATIONSocial Impact Careers Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSWGrowmajorgifts,trustsandfoundationsandGiftsinWillsBuildrelationshipswithhigh-valuedonorsandphilanthropicpartnersShapephilanthropystrategyacrossAustralia,NewZealandandfuturemarketsGrowmajorgifts,trustsandfoundationsandGiftsinWillsBuildrelationshipswithhigh-valuedonorsandphilanthropicpartnersShapephilanthropystrategyacrossAustralia,NewZealandandfuturemarketsYour ImpactAs Philanthropy Manager, you'll help grow Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation's philanthropy program, with a focus on major donors, trusts and foundations, Gifts in Wills and strategic donor stewardship.You'll build and deepen relationships with high-value supporters, developing tailored strategies that increase philanthropic investment in Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia's mission.The RoleReporting to the Global Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, you will:Manage and grow a portfolio of major donor prospects and supportersIdentify, cultivate, solicit and steward high-net-worth individualsBuild relationships with trusts and foundations and develop compelling proposals and reportsContribute to the growth and stewardship of the Gifts in Wills programDevelop tailored donor engagement and stewardship strategiesMaintain donor pipelines, CRM records and philanthropy forecastsPrepare reporting for senior management and the BoardContribute to philanthropy strategy across Australia, Recent Zealand and future international marketsThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing philanthropic opportunities and turning those relationships into meaningful support.

sound fundraising judgement and the confidence to take ownership of a growing philanthropy portfolio.The OrganisationCatherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation (CHFF) supports Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, providing life-changing treatment to women affected by obstetric fistula — a devastating childbirth injury that can leave women incontinent and facing stigma, isolation and loss of dignity.Founded by Australian doctors Catherine and Reg Hamlin, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia treats and prevents fistula through specialist care, education and midwifery training.Based at CHFF's Pyrmont headquarters, you'll help grow the philanthropic support that makes this work possible.To learn more about Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation visit What You BringYou'll be a confident relationship builder who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to philanthropy.
You'll be comfortable building genuine relationships with donors and funders, developing compelling opportunities and playing a direct role in securing philanthropic support.You don't necessarily need to have held a Manager-level title before.
We're open to experienced fundraisers at Coordinator or similar level who have the capability and ambition to step up.Experience cultivating and securing philanthropic support, ideally across major gifts, trusts and foundations and/or Gifts in WillsStrong relationship management skills and the ability to build trust with donors and philanthropic partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals and funding casesStrong donor stewardship skills and a genuine interest in building long-term relationshipsExperience using CRM systems, managing donor pipelines and contributing to fundraising reportingStrategic thinking, initiative and the ability to develop and implement fundraising plansThe confidence and motivation to take ownership, get out and meet donors, and grow into the role
