Play a leading role in bespoke residential design, working closely with clients and a collaborative in-house team.Newly created role with genuine scope to make it your ownDesign one-off, architecturally considered custom homesWork directly with clients alongside a collaborative in-house interiors teamThe OpportunityAn established Adelaide residential builder is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Designer or Architect to take a key role within its in-house design team.Working across custom homes, you will lead the architectural design process from the initial client consultation and site assessment through concept development, design refinement and documentation.This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the creativity of residential design but also understands how to turn a great concept into a practical, buildable home.
You will work directly with clients to understand how they want to live, interpret their brief and develop a tailored design that responds to their lifestyle, site and budget.You will also work closely with an established team of three Interior Designers, creating an integrated approach between architecture and interiors throughout the design journey.The RoleYou will take ownership of residential design projects, working directly with clients and collaborating closely with the interiors and broader project team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading client consultations and translating briefs into bespoke residential designsDeveloping concepts with consideration for site, orientation,



buildability and budgetReviewing and interpreting existing concepts and sketches to develop practical design solutionsWorking closely with the Interior Design team to create cohesive architectural and interior outcomesProducing and developing designs in 3D, with consideration for documentation and constructionCollaborating with internal teams throughout the design and delivery processThe Like MindYou will be an experienced Architect, Building Designer or Design Lead who enjoys bespoke residential design, working directly with clients and being part of a collaborative team.Ideally, you will bring:5+ years of architectural or building design experience, ideally within custom residentialThe ability to lead client consultations and develop bespoke designs from conceptGood technical knowledge of residential construction, buildability and site constraintsThe ability to balance design outcomes with client budgets and practical considerationsArchiCAD proficiency, or the capability and willingness to learn, with Enscape advantageousRegistration as an Architect advantageous, but not essentialA collaborative, team-first approach with a willingness to share ideas and listen to othersA genuine client focus and desire to create homes that respond to each client's needs, lifestyle and budgetWhy Consider This Chance?
