We are now looking to the next 60 years; setting the organisation up for ongoing success and future growth through the appointment of a Head of Finance and Business Services.The OpportunityReporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the TSH Executive team, the Head of Finance and Business Services will play a central role in strengthening TSH's financial sustainability and the systems that support our services.Your portfolio spans Finance, Contracts and Procurement, Governance, Compliance and Risk, and oversight of outsourced IT, data management and infrastructure.
You will provide trusted advice to the CEO, Executive team, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee and Board, connecting financial insight with organisational priorities.This role combines strategic influence with practical delivery.
Leading a small team, you will personally contribute to financial analysis, forecasting, service costing, business cases and significant commercial decisions.You will strengthen existing budgeting and reporting models, assess the capability of the finance system and develop a practical, prioritised approach to modernisation.
Your judgement will help determine where better processes, automation and new technology can deliver lasting value.You will LeadFinancial planning, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash-flow management and timely reporting with meaningful analysis and recommendations.Service and program costing,



funding analysis and business cases that support informed decisions and sustainable service delivery.Financial controls, statutory reporting, grant acquittals and external audit coordination.Commercial oversight of contracts, procurement, property arrangements and insurance.Governance, compliance and risk capability, working with specialist staff and operational leaders.Oversight of outsourced IT providers, including performance, investment priorities, data governance and cyber risk.Finance systems and reporting improvements, including more reliable Excel models, better data integration and practical automation.Team development and stronger financial understanding and accountability across TSH.About YouYou are an experienced senior finance leader with a track record of operating at executive or enterprise‐wide level with the technical depth, commercial judgement and interpersonal skills to contribute confidently at executive and Board level.
You are equally comfortable discussing strategic options with the CEO and working directly through a financial model, reporting issue or complex contract.You Bring:A relevant tertiary qualification and CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.Significant senior financial leadership experience, including advising executives, Boards or committees.Strong practical expertise in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial modelling and management reporting.A record of improving finance systems, processes and reporting, with the ability to translate opportunities into achievable improvements.Advanced Excel skills and the ability to simplify complex workbooks and build reliable, well-documented models.Commercial experience across contracts, procurement and supplier relationships,



supported by sound governance and risk judgement.A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to develop a small team, build relationships and explain financial matters clearly.Experience with Power Query, Power BI, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or comparable reporting and automation tools would be valued.Experience in a complex not-for-profit, education, health, disability or government-funded workplace is desirable.Commitment to child safety, inclusion and ethical practice is essential.
