APS6 Assessment Officer - Medical Devices and Health Technology AssessmentCanberra ACT | 12-month contract with possible extension | $65+ per hour plus super (APS6, includes casual loading)About the roleThe Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking an APS6 Assessment Officer to join the team that administers the Prescribed List of Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products.
You will assess a high volume of time-sensitive applications and listings, working with clinical experts and advisory committee members.What you will doAssess Prescribed List applications and listings, from screening and analysis through to a written recommendationReview existing listings and reconcile device details to identify and correct errorsResearch clinical and health technology assessment (HTA) questions, drawing on expert advice where neededPrepare reports,
briefings and correspondence for applicants and committee membersCommunicate outcomes to sponsors and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWhat you will bringKnowledge of medical devices, HTA or device reimbursement, or the ability to build it quicklyAbility to review and analyse technical and clinical information with attention to detailClear written and verbal communication, tailored to the audienceAbility to plan and prioritise your own workload in a changing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThe detailsUp to 38.5 hours per weekStart date 23 October **** or earlierBased in Canberra, full time in the office for the first two weeks, then a minimum of three days per weekAustralian citizenship is requiredNo security clearance requiredA National Police Check issued within the last three months is required, at your own cost
