Our people enable us to make a difference and deliver exceptional experiences to help our customers achieve financial freedom.Your TeamThe Office of the Responsible Entity (ORE) is part of CFS's Legal, Governance, Risk & Compliance team which is accountable for strengthening governance and oversight across CFS to ensure customer, investor and unitholder outcomes remain central to business decisions and strategic initiatives.The Office of the Responsible Entity's (ORE) role is to support the RE Board fulfil its duties, and to advocate for the best interests of investors and unitholders.Your ResponsibilitiesSupporting the RE Board in carrying out its governance role to ensure its legal and regulatory obligations are metContributing to the RE Board's understanding of how improved investor outcomes are achieved through strategic initiatives, business decisions and operational prioritiesSupporting the oversight of service providers (including related parties) to provide the RE Board with comfort that they are meeting their obligations, including by conducting test and challenge of the RE's material service providersProvide pragmatic advice and guidance to the business on investment governance practices, including investment decision-making processes, portfolio management and fiduciary duties.Support the business in integrating ESG factors into the investment decision-making processes and investment analysis,
risk management and performance evaluation.Proactively engaging with and influencing colleagues across CFS, including supporting the oversight of key activities (e.g. investment governance)Reviewing key policies, frameworks and Board papers and providing feedback to the businessSupporting the continual improvement of the governance function and its processes, including contributing to the design and implementation of governance improvement initiativesProvide guidance on effective corporate governance practices that enhance decision-making processesStay informed about changes in regulations and industry practices that may impact CFS and proactively assess the implications of these changes to relevant stakeholders.Providing advice on governance and compliance issues to support directors and management in the discharge of their duties and obligationsYour Capability and ExperienceSolid experience in a governance related role such as consulting, legal, governance and/or risk within the financial services sectorStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide pragmatic recommendationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levelsProven track record of effectively advising and guiding business units on compliance, governance,
or risk management mattersDevelops and maintains effective stakeholder relationships by being a valued and trusted adviser, exercising judgement and influencing key governance outcomesThorough knowledge and understanding of corporate governance structure, standards, financial services regulations and legislationStrategic thinking ability (to best contribute to strategy, plans and initiatives) and strong track record of delivering transformational changeSound understanding of investment governance principles and fiduciary duties is desirableWhat to ExpectAt CFS, you'll be working among the very best in the wealth management industry.
