We pride ourselves on building a positive workplace culture where safety is embedded into everything we do.We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Rockhampton team in a part-time capacity.About the RoleThe Health & Safety Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our health and safety systems across operational and office environments.Working closely with operational teams, supervisors, and project staff, you will help drive a strong safety culture, support compliance obligations, and contribute to safe and effective project delivery across the business.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, engaging with frontline workers, and making a genuine impact on workplace safety outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislative requirementsMonitor workplace activities and identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunitiesSupport incident and near miss investigations,
including reporting and corrective actionsConduct risk assessments and assist with implementation of risk controlsReview SWMS and other safety documentation for compliance and effectivenessProvide practical safety advice and support to operational teams and supervisorsDeliver toolbox talks and safety communicationsCoordinate safety training and verification of competenciesMaintain safety records, registers, and compliance documentationSupport safety initiatives, improvement programs, and company-wide safety activitiesPromote and contribute to a positive and proactive safety culture across the organisationAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Experience in a health, safety, or HSE role within construction, rail, civil, infrastructure, or similar operational environmentsStrong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirementsExperience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigationsExcellent hazard identification and risk management skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesA collaborative and proactive approach to safety improvementStrong organisational and administrative skillsQualifications & RequirementsRelevant Health & Safety or HSE qualification/certificationExperience working within safety management systemsExperience within rail, civil construction, or infrastructure industriesIncident investigation training/certification
