We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our ICP team in Perth, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely analytical results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory experience, particularly in ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation, who enjoys technical problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment.As a Laboratory Technician, you will play an important role in the analysis of samples using ICP instrumentation.
Working as part of a collaborative laboratory team, you will ensure testing is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities include however, are not limited to:Conduct analysis of samples using ICP-OES and ICP-MS instrumentationPerform sample dilutions, prepare calibration standards,
and complete testing activitiesComplete daily pre-start checks and support equipment upkeepTransfer analytical results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)Maintain accurate laboratory records and logbooksComplete quality control checks and related documentationFollow established testing procedures to minimise contamination risks and ensure data integrityContribute to achieving daily production targets while maintaining quality standardsSupport compliance with NATA, ISO, quality, safety, and environmental requirementsQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably with ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentationAn understanding of analytical testing processes and quality control requirementsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate resultsGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsThe ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesStrong organisational and record-keeping skillsA collaborative approach and willingness to support and train team members when requiredCommitment to maintaining safe work practices at all timesAdditional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?
