The Salvos offer hope, purpose, and fulfillment for anyone seeking connection, guidance, social support and community.About The RoleAs a Children & Families Ministry Assistant (Delivery), this is your prospect to support the delivery of safe, engaging and faith-filled programs that help children and families build connection, belonging and participation in the life of the CorpsReporting to the Corps Officers, this is a permanent, part-time role, offering 19 hours a week, based on site in Howrah, TasmaniaHow You Will Make An ImpactSupport the delivery of engaging children and families' programs, events, outreach activities and camps.Build strong relationships with children, families, parents and carers, encouraging connection and participation in the life of the Corps.Deliver age-appropriate faith development opportunities for children through a range of ministry programs and activities.Create safe,



welcoming and engaging ministry environments that align with The Salvation Army's mission, values and child-safe standards.Recruit, support and develop volunteers, ensuring compliance with screening, safeguarding and onboarding requirements.Work collaboratively with ministry teams to provide holistic support for children and families while maintaining compliance with policies, safety and risk management requirements.What You Will BringA commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation ArmyAn ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian GospelCertificate IV level in ministry or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience, knowledge and skills is desirable.A solid understanding of TSA Doctrines & Principles (desirable)Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g. faith-based groupsAbility to work autonomously while contributing positively within a team environment.Experience building supportive and inclusive relationships with children and familiesA national police record check is requiredDrivers LicenceWorking With Children CheckWhat We OfferGenerous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks)
