We are looking for an experienced solutions-focused Lawyer to join the Legal Team.
Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will take a pivotal role within a legal team that works collaboratively to provide a responsive and effective legal service across the various business units in the Group.We are looking for a senior candidate who can work independently, guiding the business to achieve the appropriate balance of commercial and legal risk.
Experience working within the banking and financial services sector, or a regulated environment would be favourably considered.Key accountabilities for the role you will be responsible for: A broad range of legal work from regulatory compliance,
customer contracts and supplier arrangementsNegotiating complex cash services contracts and ensuring Armaguard's Group members commercial and legal interests are properly representedProviding legal advice and assistance to the Armaguard Group to ensure that deliverables are achieved with minimum riskEnsuring Armaguard Group member's comply with regulatory requirementsThe successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:Minimum 6 years' experience practicing as a lawyer either in mid-large firm private practice or equivalent in-house legal experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills and experience in building relationships with internal clients at all levelsBe adaptable, adaptable, commercial and have a team-orientated attitudeStrong commercial negotiation skills and the ability to influence key stakeholdersAbility to independently manage competing prioritiesStrong drafting skills, particularly in the area of services agreementsExperience in the areas of regulatory compliance, technology, financial services or bankingKnowledge of the regulatory environment would be well regardedProject management, analysis and problem-solving skillsAn ability and desire to complete legal work in the most cost-effective mannerSuccessful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment Criminal History Check, medical fitness for work and Credit Agency Check.Armaguard, part of the Linfox Armaguard Group Pty Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.Armaguardsupports a workplace culture of zero harm and encourage this in all that we do.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply.
