A growing South Australian civil contractor is expanding its team as it moves into an exciting period of growth, with a robust pipeline of projects secured across the state.With capabilities spanning civil infrastructure, structural concrete and large-scale landscaping, the business delivers complex projects across South Australia and is continuing to build its team around future growth.They are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer who is ready to take on greater ownership, broaden their project management exposure and take the next step towards becoming a Project Manager.You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and site teams, playing a key role across the technical, commercial and operational delivery of projects.This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional engineering responsibilities and start taking genuine ownership of project outcomes.The RoleAs Senior Project Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of civil projects, working across engineering, coordination, commercial and project management activities.You will be responsible for:Leading engineering and project activities from planning through to completionCoordinating site teams, subcontractors,



consultants and suppliersManaging project programmes and contributing to commercial performanceSupporting cost control, forecasting, variations and project reportingEnsuring projects are delivered in accordance with design, specifications, quality and safety requirementsDriving Quality Assurance and WHS processes across project deliveryBuilding strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partnersProviding guidance and mentoring to junior engineersWorking closely with Project Managers and taking on increasing responsibility across project deliveryDeveloping the commercial and leadership capability required to progress into Project ManagementThe Like MindYou are an experienced Senior Project Engineer who is ready for more.You have strong technical foundations, but you are equally interested in the bigger picture — commercial outcomes, client relationships, project strategy and leading people.You will ideally bring:Relevant Civil Engineering qualificationsProven Senior Project Engineer experience within civil construction or infrastructureStrong technical and project delivery capabilityCommercial awareness and an understanding of project financial outcomesConfidence coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teamsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience supporting or mentoring junior engineersA proactive, solutions-focused approachGenuine ambition to progress into a Project Manager roleMost importantly, you will be someone who wants to take ownership, is commercially curious and is ready to step up.
