Job DescriptionAbout the roleThe Student and Academic Services Manager is a leadership position responsible for the efficient and high-quality delivery of student and academic administrative processes, student experience programs and management of a service-oriented Student and Academic Services team.
This position reports to the Academic Director and is a member of the College Senior Executive TeamKey ResponsibilitiesProvide effective leadership, management and supervision to teams supporting activities within the student life cycle, including: orientation, enrolment, timetabling, exams, results, student progression, scholarships, graduationProvide oversight of the student information management systemEnsure accuracy in data reporting to the Australian government via the TCSI portalPartnerwith academic and professional staff across the College and the University to facilitate collaboration and achieve strategic objectivesLeverage expert knowledge to guide staff on relevant legislation,
policy and reporting requirementsIdentify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in student and academic servicesOversee student experience programsQualificationsEssential Selection Criteria:Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and balance competing priorities.Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and data accuracy skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to students and colleagues.Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve routine issues independently.Demonstrated advanced level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly in using Excel to analyse data and create reports.Demonstrated IT literacy, including working with student information systems, databases, or CRM systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A robust sense of responsibility and commitment to supporting student success.A tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent).
