We're looking for a State Manager to lead our Queensland operation from our Sunshine Coast depot in Woombye.
This is a genuine business-leadership role.
You'll own the numbers, shape the team and set the direction for the state, with the backing of an established company behind you.
If you want a role where your decisions show up directly in the results, this is it.Key responsibilitiesOwn the Queensland P&L;, including budgets, forecasts, margins, cash flow and asset utilisationWin and keep work by building relationships with councils, racing clubs, golf courses, schools and head contractorsLead project delivery across multiple sites, on time, on budget and to specLead, mentor and develop the team, setting clear expectations and building a strong culture on the groundDrive operational efficiency and continually improve the performance of the Queensland businessOptimise labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers across projects to maximise productivity, utilisation and marginsKeep safety, quality and compliance tight (WHS, ISO and QBCC)About youProven leadership in civil, landscape, construction or a similar project-based businessStrong commercial skills, with a track record of managing a P&L; and improving marginsExperience estimating, pricing or reviewing tendersA hands-on, solutions-focused style,



comfortable on site and in the boardroomConfidence using business, project management and reporting systems to monitor performance and support decision-makingA solid safety mindset and experience with WHS and QA systemsA current driver's licence and Construction White Card, plus willingness to travel to sitesExperience in golf course, sports field or racecourse constructionRelevant tertiary qualifications (Construction Management, Business or similar)About usGlobal Turf builds, renovates and maintains some of Australia's best-known golf courses, racecourses and sports fields.
