The successful candidate will design and deliver mechanical services for various rail projects.
This role is suitable for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Building Services background, wanting to expand their project portfolio and work on major rail projects across Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and delivery of HVAC services for various rail projectsProduction of engineering drawings, reports, specifications and tender packages from preliminary through to constructionConducting feasibility studies, load calculations and site inspectionsReviewing mechanical designs,



ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMECProduction of engineering reports and supporting tender proposalsProactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverablesAbout YouRelevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent3-5 year's Mechanical Engineering experience, working for a Building Services design consultancyExperience preparing detailed mechanical services design documentation across rail, infrastructure, mixed-use or commercial projectsStrong AutoCAD, Camel and Revit experienceMust have strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering organisationSMEC is committed to building a diverse, inclusive and gender-equitable workforce and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds across engineering and technical disciplines.
