The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with tax compliance.
This role will suit someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic business environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journals.Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheet, and P&L; reporting.Assist with preparation of management reports and variance analysis.Support external audit requirements and liaise with auditors as needed.Taxation & CompliancePrepare and lodge BAS, IAS,



and FBT returns in a timely and accurate manner.Assist with corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting.Monitor GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.Liaise with external tax advisors and regulators where required.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements.Other DutiesAssist with budgeting and forecasting processes.Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes.Support ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Key RequirementsDegree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.2-4+ years' experience in financial accounting, preferably with some exposure to tax compliance.Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax obligations.Ability to work in a fast paced workplace.Strong Excel and ERP systems skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
