Hero Calling | Hands‐on Accountant | Construction & ProjectsCalling all heroes (immediately available accountants) we are recruiting on behalf of a growing WA‐based organisation for a hands‐on Accountant to support financial reporting, month‐end, compliance and general ledger integrity across a busy operational environment.This is an initial 3‐month temporary contract with a genuine view to permanent, offering the prospect to join a broad finance function where you can take ownership and make an immediate impact.Fact File:School of Accounting: Financial & Management AccountingIndustry: Construction / BuildingContract Type: 3 Month Temp to PermPackage: $100k–$110k + Super equivalentLocation: South of the RiverConstruction Experience: PreferredSystems: MYOB advantageousAvailability: Immediately / Short Notice PreferredAbout the Role:Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of financial accounting, reporting and compliance activities.This is a broad, hands‐on role covering general ledger integrity, reconciliations, journals, month‐end and year‐end close, financial reporting and statutory requirements.
You will also work closely with the wider business to ensure costs are appropriately allocated across entities,



branches and projects.Key Responsibilities:Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and other general ledger entries.Complete bank, balance sheet, intercompany and GL reconciliations.Support month‐end and year‐end close and financial reporting.Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting.Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Support GST, BAS, FBT and other statutory requirements.Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.Review coding and cost allocations across entities, branches and projects.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and variance analysis.Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.Short but Sweet:We are seeking a strong hands‐on Accountant with:Previous financial or management accounting experience.Strong month‐end, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation skills.Knowledge of Australian GST, BAS and statutory accounting requirements.Strong Excel and ERP/accounting systems capability.Construction, building, restoration, project‐based or multi‐entity experience highly regarded.MYOB experience advantageous.CA/CPA qualification or progress towards qualification desirable, but not essential.
