About the RoleOur Risk and Investigations practice conducts sophisticated research and investigations, uncovers actionable intelligence and performs value-added analysis to help decision-makers address and mitigate risk, protect assets, remediate compliance, and make informed decisions regarding their investments.
Our experts conduct independent investigations to help clients resolve a variety of issues, including:Corporate investigations, including fraud and misconduct investigationsAnti-bribery and foreign corruption (FCPA / UK Bribery Act) investigations and risk assessmentsAsset searching / tracingDue diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border transactionsTransactional intelligenceMarket entry and competitor intelligencePolitical risk assessments.What You'll DoReporting to the Senior Managing Director and based in Sydney, your responsibilities will include:Conducting, and having day-to-day oversight of,
forensic accounting elements of investigation and dispute engagementsApplying data analytics techniques within investigations, disputes, risk assessments, regulatory and compliance mattersLeading engagements that involve due diligence, business intelligence and other types of investigations, involving public record research and discreet source inquiriesSupervision of junior personnelEvaluation of information and information sources for accuracy, reliability and relevance in assessing riskProvision of advice on how to mitigate riskCreation of research reports in English, presentations and where needed link charts or similar diagrams to record investigative actions and findings.What You'll Need for SuccessDemonstrated experience in conducting investigation- and dispute-related work in a consulting and client service environmentDemonstrated experience in the application of forensic accounting and data analytics techniques within investigation and dispute engagementsA familiarity with business intelligence and due diligence workBroad professional experience, prior international work experience/travel or experience working as part of a global dispersed team an advantageDemonstrated resourcefulness and a self-starter,
with experience of operating in fast paced and energetic operational settingsDemonstrated experience supervising junior colleaguesExcellent English language writing skillsMinimum Bachelor's degree or higher10 to 12+ years' experience.FTI Consulting acknowledges that we stand on the lands of the First Nations peoples and would like to pay our respects to Elders past and present.
