Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking Casual Health Care Workers to join the Tambo Acute Medical/Surgical Ward to provide dedicated 1:1 support for patients with complex behaviours.
Working alongside nursing and allied health teams, you'll build positive relationships, provide companionship, support patient wellbeing and help create a safe, calm and supportive hospital environment.The Contract: Multiple Casual contractsA key requirement of this role is availability to work across 7 days a week and perform a variety of shifts.The Role:Provide dedicated 1:1 support for patients with complex behavioursBuild trust through companionship and meaningful conversationSupport personal care, mobility and daily living activitiesUse diversional activities tailored to patient interests, abilities and moodRecognise changes in behaviour and respond with a person centred approachSkills & Experience:Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support or equivalent qualification is preferredExperience in healthcare, aged care or disability support is highly desirableCompassionate, patient and person-centred approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to recognise and appropriately elevate changes in a patient's conditionCurrent Basic Life Support competency is desirablePlease view the full key selection criteria in the Position Description here.Why Join BRHS?
