This is a crucial position that plays a vital role in supporting our clients through complex migration matters.
As a Migration Agent, you will provide professional advice and support on Australian immigration law, helping businesses, individuals and families navigate the visa application process.
This part-time arrangement offers flexibility whilst maintaining continuity and excellence in our migration practice.What you'll be doingAdvising clients on appropriate visa options and eligibility requirements based on their circumstances and aspirationsPreparing and lodging visa applications with the Department of Home Affairs on behalf of clientsReviewing and advising on sponsorship arrangements, including employer sponsorships and family-based visa applicationsGathering and organising supporting documentation and evidence required for migration applicationsResponding to requests for additional information (RFIs)



from the Department of Home Affairs and providing strategic guidance on responsesRepresenting clients in dealings with migration authorities and managing correspondenceStaying abreast of changes to Australian immigration law and policy, ensuring clients receive current and accurate adviceMaintaining accurate file records and case management documentationWhat we're looking forValid registration as a Migration Agent with the Office of the Migration Agents' Registration Authority (OMARA)Demonstrated experiences in Australian immigration law and visa proceduresProven experience in preparing and lodging visa applications across multiple visa streamsStrong knowledge of sponsorship arrangements, skilled migration and family-based visa categoriesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clientsOutstanding attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneouslyProficiency in migration law database, such as LEGENDcom and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work autonomouslyA skilled approach to client confidentiality and ethical practice standardsKeen interest in employing AI in the migration law practicePreferred: experience working within an overseas education firm and Mandarin speaking capabilityWhat we offerAt T & J Lawyers and Associates Pty Ltd, we recognise that part-time work provides valuable flexibility for our team members.
