Secondary Tutors | Maths, English, Biology & ChemistryAs a DA tutor, you will teach small groups of students across Years 7-12 at our Canley Heights centre.
You will help students strengthen their knowledge, develop confidence and make meaningful academic progress.
Teaching at DA is about more than delivering content.
You will notice where a student is struggling, explain ideas in different ways, ask questions that make students think and create an environment where students feel comfortable enough to ask for help.
Depending on your experience, academic background and subject expertise, you may work with junior students, senior students and/or HSC classes.Key responsibilitiesTeaching small-group classes to secondary students in your strongest subject areaExplaining challenging concepts clearly and breaking them into manageable stepsUsing purposeful questions to check and deepen student understandingAdapting your teaching approach for students with different abilities and learning needsHelping students develop confidence, stronger study habits and greater independenceProviding encouragement, clear feedback and consistent academic supportPreparing for lessons using teaching resources supplied by DAWorking collaboratively with other tutors and the wider DA teamParticipating in training,
