As an Early Childhood Educator at our centre you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and supporting their holistic development.What you'll be doingProviding high-quality educational and care programs that align with the Early Years Learning FrameworkEngaging children in age-appropriate activities that foster their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growthMaintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for childrenObserving and documenting children's progress and developmentCollaborating with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needsEnsuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and quality standardsParticipating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practiceWhat we're looking forFormal qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or studying towards certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor)A minimum of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Bachelor of Education qualification is requiredExperience working in a childcare or early learning environmentMinimum of 1-2 years childcare experience is required for this positionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesCreativity and a passion for engaging children in play-based learningA deep understanding of child development and the ability to tailor your approach to individual needsA commitment to promoting inclusive and safe practicesA current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain oneCandidates may apply without a current Working with Children Check but must obtain one before starting employmentPassion for creating and delivering a stimulating learning environmentUnderstanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environmentAwareness of National Quality Framework and Queensland Kindergarten GuidelinesAble to document observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of annotationsA love of children and a passion for play based learningA commitment to children's safety and wellbeingSkills to build strong relationships within our community families, and understand the value in doing soAn ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Teacher ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are metWhat we offerAt Whispering Gully Warwick, we are a family owned service that is expanding, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
