We are seeking an experienced and reliable Freight & Parcel Delivery Driver to join our Sunshine Coast branch based in Nambour.This role is suited to someone who has previous experience operating commercial vans or larger vehicles, is comfortable working independently and takes a structured, methodical approach to their day.This is not simply a driving position.
You will be responsible for managing an allocated delivery area, completing multiple deliveries and collections, scanning freight correctly and ensuring your workload is completed efficiently and accurately.THE ROLEDaily parcel and freight deliveries and collections within set runs on the Sunshine CoastMonday to Friday daytime workRegular ongoing hoursLoading and organising freight for your allocated delivery areaUsing a handheld mobile computer/scanning device throughout the dayElectronic proof of delivery, scanning and consignment managementPlanning and managing your workload to complete your run efficientlyRegular interaction with customers and businessesABOUT YOUWe are particularly interested in applicants who have previous experience driving commercial vans,
delivery vehicles or larger vehicles.You will need to be:Confident and experienced operating larger vans or commercial vehiclesHolder of a current Australian C Class driver's licenceComfortable using a mobile computer, PDA or handheld scanning deviceWell organised and able to manage a large number of deliveries and collectionsMethodical, accurate and consistent in the way you workAble to plan your day and prioritise tasks without constant supervisionReliable and punctualPhysically capable of undertaking parcel and freight delivery workProfessional when dealing with customersSafety conscious and respectful of company equipmentPrevious experience in courier, parcel delivery, freight, transport, multi-drop delivery or PU&D; work will be highly regarded.We are not looking for someone who simply enjoys driving.
