You'll gain practical exposure to engineering standards, safety, risk, design and compliance while building the technical skills and judgement that will support your future career.You'll also have access to engineering mentors who can help turn university theory into practical understanding and give you exposure to how complex maritime engineering work is managed and delivered.You'll Have The Opportunity ToSupport engineers with practical engineering and technical activitiesContribute to engineering service delivery and on-site technical supportApply engineering standards,



processes and compliance requirementsDevelop your maritime engineering knowledge and professional judgementWork alongside engineers, mentors and multidisciplinary project teamsBuild your understanding of safety, risk, design and project managementManage assigned work while delivering accurate and timely technical outputsLearn from experienced technical specialists and engineering professionalsSerco is a place for youYou'll be studying engineering or naval architecture and ready to gain practical experience in a maritime environment.
You'll bring curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers and technical specialists, with university projects, placements or practical engineering experience highly regarded.
Most importantly, you'll be motivated to develop your technical capability and build a career in engineering.You'll NeedCurrent enrolment at a recognised Australian university in an Engineering or Naval Architecture degreeDeveloping technical knowledge and sound engineering judgementStrong communication skills and the ability to work with engineers, mentors and project teamsAn organised approach to balancing university and professional prioritiesA commitment to safety,



environmental compliance and professional developmentThe ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Australian Defence Security ClearancePlease NoteThis position carries trust and responsibility.
To support this, a comprehensive probity assessment, including a National Police Check, is a key part of the selection process for this role.As this role requires an Australian Defence Security Clearance, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain that clearance.
