About The RoleReporting to the Hospitality & Services Manager, the Laundry Champion is responsible for the safe, efficient and high-quality processing of all resident personal clothing, bed linen, towels and facility textiles.

dryers and finishing equipment safely and efficientlyCorrectly segregate soiled and infected linen in line with infection control protocols — every timeInspect laundered items for damage or staining and report issues promptlyLabel, sort and return items accurately to the correct resident or facility areaKeep laundry equipment clean and operational, and report faults immediatelyMonitor and maintain adequate stock levels of laundry chemicals and consumablesMaintain accurate chemical usage records and follow all WH&S; and SDS requirementsSkills And ExperienceReliable, self-motivated and able to maintain consistent quality independentlyComfortable operating commercial laundry equipment (or willing to learn)Strong attention to detail — in sorting, labelling and returning items correctlyUnderstanding of, or willingness to learn, infection control standards for soiled linenKnowledge of safe chemical handling proceduresAbility to work in a culturally sensitive manner with residents and colleaguesClear and respectful communication with residents, families and staffExperience in aged care, healthcare or a commercial laundry environment highly regardedNo formal qualifications required (essential)Certificate II or III in Laundry Operations, Cleaning Operations or Individual Support (desirable)Bilingual language skills (highly regarded)Ready to be the person who makes a quiet but real difference?
