We are currently seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants who can demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
About the Role
The Teacher Assistants supports high-quality learning experiences by assisting teachers, guiding students and helping create an inclusive,
safe and engaging learning environment. This role suits a caring, adaptable and student-focused individual who enjoys working closely with children and supporting diverse learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Classroom support — Assist teachers in delivering learning programs.
Student assistance — Support students individually or in groups across various learning areas.
Intervention support — Provide individualised approaches, help identify learning needs and assist with progress evaluation.
Inclusive learning — Support participation for students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Learning materials — Assist with preparing, organising and distributing resources.
Technology support — Help students use ICT safely and responsibly.
Routine assistance — Support students with timetables, lockers, homework and behaviour expectations.
Personal care — Provide basic physical, social and emotional care; assist with meals, toileting and lifting when required.
Excursion support — Assist students during excursions and special events.
Monitoring & reporting — Communicate student progress, concerns and successes to teachers.
Behaviour support — Support students in line with school guidelines.

Essential Requirements
Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC).
Accreditation A: Accreditation to work in a Catholic school or willingness to work towards.
Desirable
Certificate III in Education Support
Experience related to specific support activity areas eg food technology, MDT, EAL, ATSI etc.
Education sector experience
Current First Aid Certificate
Protective Handling Practices training
Manual Handling training
