This is a senior business partnering position providing expert, practical advice across the full employee lifecycle in a complex and rapid-paced environment.Your new role You will partner closely with senior executives, managers and employees, helping leaders navigate operational HR matters while supporting broader workforce priorities.
The role provides exposure to employee relations, recruitment, organisational design, workplace investigations, policy improvement and workforce initiatives.Build trusted relationships with senior executives and managers, providing expert HR advice and commercially practical solutionsManage complex employee relations matters, including performance, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigationsProvide advice on employment legislation, industrial instruments, conditions of employment and public-sector policiesSupport recruitment strategies, establishment management, job design, role descriptions and role evaluation processesProvide guidance on workers' compensation and return-to-work mattersLead or contribute to HR projects, policy reviews and continuous-improvement initiativesWork with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure services meet business requirements and agreed standardsCoach managers and employees on HR systems, procedures and effective people-management practicesPrepare high-quality reports,
briefs, correspondence, contracts and executive adviceWhat you'll need to succeed Strong generalist HR business partnering experience within a complex organisationDemonstrated experience managing sensitive and complex employee relations mattersSound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial awards and enterprise agreementsExperience supporting senior executives and influencing a broad range of stakeholdersThe ability to provide clear, considered and defensible HR adviceStrong written communication skills, including experience preparing briefs, reports and correspondenceThe ability to manage changing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environmentTertiary qualifications in human resource management, or equivalent relevant experiencePrevious NSW Government or broader public-sector HR experience will be highly regardedWhat you'll get in return You will join a collaborative People and Culture function in a highly visible role, partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to meaningful workforce outcomes.
