We are seeking a motivated and hands‐on
Safety Officer
to join our team at the
Perilya Mine in Broken Hill
. This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite in a
7 days on / 7 days off roster
, playing a key role in supporting our operations and ensuring our people go home secure every day.
n
Be advised this is a residential only position: successful candidates are required to re-locate to Broken Hill NSW.
About the Role n
Reporting to the Safety Team, this position is
field-based
and focused on engaging directly with our workforce. You will partner with frontline teams to promote safe work practices and maintain a strong safety culture across site.

Your responsibilities will include:
n

Conducting
assurance activities
including inspections, audits, and observations
n
Supporting teams in identifying and managing workplace hazards
n
Providing practical, on-the-ground
safety guidance and coaching
n
Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
n
Promoting a proactive safety culture across all departments
n
Ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
n
About You n
We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about
workplace safety and continuous improvement
n
Comfortable working
in the field and engaging with operational teams
n
A strong communicator who can build trust and influence others
n
Proactive, organised, and committed to high standards
n
Previous experience in mining or heavy industry is advantageous, but not essential.
