Based in the Central West, this senior management opportunity offers the chance to lead significant engineering projects that support regional communities while enjoying the unique lifestyle benefits of rural Queensland.
The position can be based in Alpha, Jericho, Barcaldine, Aramac or Muttaburra and offers an over-award employment package on a four-year fixed-term contract.Your new role Reporting to the Director of Works, you will lead the delivery of Council's engineering services function, overseeing the planning, design, construction and management of civil infrastructure projects across the region.
You will manage capital works programs, provide technical engineering leadership, oversee contractor performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.Key responsibilities include:Managing engineering projects from planning through to completionOverseeing contract administration, construction activities and consultant engagementLeading capital works planning, budgeting and project deliveryManaging project schedules, budgets, risks and quality outcomesEnsuring compliance with legislative requirements and engineering standardsSupporting water infrastructure projects and water efficiency initiativesProviding technical advice and leadership to internal stakeholdersBuilding strong relationships with contractors, consultants,
