This is an opportunity to join an experienced site-based engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of critical plant and electrical infrastructure.Your new roleAn exciting prospect has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a thermal generation facility on a 6-month contract.Supporting gas turbines and critical plant assets, you'll work across maintenance, reliability, fault investigations and plant improvement projects.
This role is well suited to an electrical engineer with experience in asset management, maintenance, reliability or operational plant environments.Key responsibilities:Support the reliability and performance of electrical plant and thermal generation assetsInvestigate electrical faults and equipment failuresDeliver plant improvement and upgrade projectsSupport maintenance, outage and shutdown activitiesProvide technical support across generators,
transformers and switchgearConduct root cause investigations and develop practical solutionsManage contractors and coordinate site-based worksWork closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve asset performanceWhat you'll need to succeedDegree qualification in Electrical Engineering5+ years' relevant industry experienceExperience working with generators, transformers, switchgear and electrical plantBackground in thermal generation, gas turbines, heavy industry, mining or similar operational environmentsExperience in asset management, maintenance or reliability engineeringExperience delivering plant upgrades, brownfield projects or equipment replacementsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilityWhat you'll get in returnIn return, you'll join a highly experienced engineering team working on critical thermal generation assets within a dynamic operational environment.
