Support Worker – Armadale, WA (SIL & Community Access)

We are currently seeking a
suitably qualified and experienced Support Worker
to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to a participant based in
Armadale, Western Australia
.
n
This position involves providing
2:1 support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment
and
2:1 support within the community
, ensuring the participant's safety, wellbeing, and active engagement in daily and social activities.
n
The participant presents with
complex behaviours
, and therefore this role requires an individual with
demonstrated experience and confidence in managing and supporting complex needs
, including the application of behaviour support strategies in accordance with established plans.
n

Deliver individualised
2:1 support
in a SIL setting
n
Provide structured
2:1 community access support
n
Assist with activities of daily living, skill-building, and routine development
n
Implement and adhere to
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
n
Promote independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
n
Accurately record progress notes and incident reports in line with organisational and NDIS requirements
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Proven experience supporting individuals with
complex behaviours (essential)
n
Robust understanding of
NDIS principles
and person-centred approaches
n
Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
n
Mandatory Requirements
n
n
Current
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Valid
National Police Clearance
n
Current
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
(or willingness to obtain)
n
First Aid and CPR Certification
(current)
n
Valid
Driver's Licence
and access to a reliable vehicle
n
Proof of
working rights in Australia
n
Experience working within a
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
environment
n
Knowledge of
Positive Behaviour Support frameworks
n
Relevant qualifications in
Disability, Community Services, or a related field
n
