Due to continued demand in the Cairns region, they are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join their team.Your new role You will provide on-site technical support and hardware repair services to customers across Cairns and surrounding areas.
Working independently, you will diagnose and repair laptops, desktops and related IT equipment.Your responsibilities will include:Diagnosing and resolving laptop and desktop hardware faultsReplacing motherboards, screens, keyboards, batteries, SSDs and memoryCompleting hardware diagnostics, BIOS updates and firmware upgradesTesting and validating repaired devicesManaging assigned service calls, schedules, travel and parts inventoryCompleting service documentation accurately and on timeMeeting agreed SLA targetsProviding professional and customer-focused on-site supportWhat you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in hardware repair, desktop support,



field services or technical supportStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding skillsHands-on experience replacing laptop and desktop componentsA good understanding of Windows operating systemsExperience supporting Dell, Lenovo or similar OEM hardwareStrong communication, customer service and documentation skillsThe ability to work independently and manage multiple service requestsA current Australian driving licenceThe flexibility to travel throughout Cairns and surrounding areasTechnical qualifications, vocational training or OEM certifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.What you'll get in return This is an excellent chance to build your technical experience in a practical, field-based role.
