This is your opportunity to contribute across transport, civil infrastructure, utilities and power distribution, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to strengthen its Victorian team based in Fairfield.

THE ROLE
As Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation of accurate, commercially sound estimates for major electrical infrastructure projects.
You will review project documentation, complete detailed take-offs, source current market pricing and coordinate submissions from early assessment through to final bid.
Your estimates will help the team understand project risk, identify cost efficiencies and develop competitive tender strategies that support profitable delivery.
Day to day:
Preparing conceptual and detailed estimates, including material and labour take-offs
Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts and scope documentation
Preparing accurate, compliant tender submissions
Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
Developing cost plans, budgets, forecasts and detailed estimate reports
Identifying commercial risks, scope gaps, benchmarks and value engineering opportunities
Working with project managers, engineers, designers and procurement teams
Supporting labour forecasting, work sequencing, site inspections and project briefings
Maintaining current cost data, supplier pricing and estimating records
Building productive relationships and supporting recent project opportunities
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced electrical estimator who understands the detail, risk and commercial thinking required to price complex infrastructure work and provide reasoning to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are comfortable working independently on detailed cost analysis and collaborating with a wider project team.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
At least five years' estimating experience, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects
An Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, electrical trade or relevant estimating qualification
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods and relevant regulations
The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contracts
Experience with Pronamics or simPRO and Microsoft Office
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and project scheduling
Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet tender deadlines
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers and project teams
Experience in rail, roads, utilities, renewable energy, tunnels, airports or other high-risk infrastructure environments will be highly regarded
