Base salary negotiable for suitably experienced dealership accountants
$100,000 + super
Excellent facilities in Port Melbourne location
5 day working week Mon-Fri, with some flexibility

ABOUT THE COMPANY
A multi-site privately owned Dealership Group that is currently expanding.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the CFO, senior management and the broader Accounts and Administration team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
You will play an important role in month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis and ensuring the integrity of our dealership accounting records and systems.
YOUR GENERAL JOB FUNCTION
Prepare and complete monthly management accounts and month-end reporting
Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other financial reports
Complete and review bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records across dealership and wholesale operations
Review transactions, journals, accruals and financial adjustments
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
Monitor financial performance and identify discrepancies or areas requiring investigation
Support accurate vehicle stock,
inventory and transaction accounting
Assist with BAS, statutory reporting and other financial compliance requirements
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A bachelors degree in Accounting
Must have experience in Automotive as a Dealership Assistant Accountant or Dealership Accountant
Meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills
A fast paced, efficient worker with experience in New and Used Cars
A strong communicator who ensures everyone is kept well informed of status and processes
