About the position n
Narromine Shire Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for the position of Water Cart Operator.
n
The objective of this position is to effectively and safely operate Council's water truck to transport water throughout the shire for the use of other teams within Council.
n
To safely and competently operate Council plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and Council Procedures.
n
To promote and maintain a positive image of Council to the community.
To be successful in this position you will need to have: n
n
Good understanding of plant operation and their capabilities
n
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
n
Basic computer skills
n
General Construction Induction (White) Card
n
It will be desirable for you to have: n
n
MC Drivers Licence
n
Workzone Traffic Control -Traffic Controller
n
Workzone Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan
n
Level I Chainsaw Operators certificate of competency
n
Backhoe and other plant competencies
n
Experience in heavy haulage
n
The details relating to this position are: n
n
The position is graded 8 within Council's salary structure
n
The salary range is from




$67,360 - $76,189 per annum plus superannuation.
The salary step is determined by an annual competency assessment.
n
38 hour working week applies.
NSC has a RDO system whereby every second Monday is a rostered day off.
n
Employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award
n
