Our Client, Sandhu & Chouhan Produce is seeking an experienced and motivated Horticulture Farm Manager to join our established horticultural farming operation in Bucca, NSW. n
n
nTasks Include: n
n
n• Plan and coordinate the cultivation and harvesting of blueberries, raspberries and cucumbers according to seasonal conditions and production requirements. n
n• Plan planting schedules and select suitable varieties to achieve consistent crop quality and yield. n
n• Oversee crop establishment, propagation, planting and transplanting activities. n
n• Monitor crop health and coordinate pruning, de-budding, training and other plant maintenance activities. n
n• Manage irrigation and fertigation programs to ensure crops receive appropriate water and nutrients throughout the growing cycle. n
n• Monitor crops for pests, diseases and weeds and coordinate appropriate treatment and control measures. n
n• Oversee day-to-day farm operations, including crop maintenance, harvesting, grading, packing and storage of produce. n
n• Monitor soil and growing conditions and implement appropriate measures to maintain crop health and productivity. n
n• Coordinate the handling, storage and dispatch of harvested produce to maintain quality and meet supply requirements. n
n• Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm infrastructure and equipment, including irrigation systems, greenhouses, machinery and storage facilities. n
n• Maintain accurate records of planting, crop treatments, spray programs,



production volumes and crop yields. n
n• Plan and monitor farm operating requirements, including labour, equipment and agricultural inputs. n
n• Supervise and coordinate farm workers and contractors during planting, crop maintenance and harvesting activities. n
n• Implement measures to manage seasonal and environmental risks affecting crop production. n
n• Ensure farm activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements, including the safe use of chemicals, machinery and agricultural equipment. n
n
nQualifications and Skills: n
n
n• Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications and Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting. or equivalent or 3 years of employment experience with formal training OR 5 years of experience without formal training. n
n• Robust understanding of agricultural production processes. n
n• Attention to detail and quick decision-making to address quality issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges. n
n• Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards. n
n• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. n
n• Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations. n
n• Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality. n
n• Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. n
n
nSalary- $75,000 - $85,000 Per annum
