Our client, Jeeta Transport Services Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Truck Driver to join their team. n
n
nDuties and Responsibilities: n
n• Transport freight safely and efficiently between designated locations. n
n• Plan and follow appropriate routes to ensure timely delivery of goods. n
n• Comply with all applicable road rules, transport legislation and company procedures. n
n• Perform pre-trip inspections. n
n• Maintain accurate records relating to pick-ups, deliveries and freight movements. n
n• Obtain required signatures or delivery confirmations upon collection and delivery of freight. n
n• Attend site inductions and comply with all safety requirements during loading and unloading activities. n
n• Secure freight appropriately using straps, chains or other suitable restraints to prevent movement or damage during transportation. n
n• Check freight weight and distribution to ensure axle weights and vehicle load limits comply with legal requirements. n
n• Accurately record driving and working hours in the log book. n
n• Communicate effectively with fleet managers, customers, depot staff and other drivers. n
n• Assist with loading and unloading freight by correctly positioning vehicles and operating lifting or tipping mechanisms where required. n




n• Keep management informed of demerit point status where required. n
n• Maintain the truck in a clean and presentable condition, both internally and externally. n
n• Carry out routine vehicle safety checks, including checking brakes, lights and other essential components, and promptly report any mechanical or maintenance issues. n
n• Follow traffic management plans and safety procedures at all depots and customer sites attended. n
n• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements. n
n• Follow all company policies and procedures at all times. n
n
nEligibility Criteria: n
n• A valid commercial truck driving licence. n
n• A minimum of 2-3 years of driving experience. n
n• Sound knowledge of loading and unloading freight, including weight management requirements. n
n• Sound knowledge of road legislation and transport safety procedures. n
n• Good communication skills. n
n• Availability to work flexible schedule. n
n• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical. n
n• Ability to complete an annual medical, where applicable, for drivers over the age of 50. n
n• Ability to complete a National Police Check. n
n• Appropriate work rights or a valid working visa. n
n
nSalary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
