The Role n
Reporting to the Manager Governance and Risk and based in WindsorNSW, the primary purpose of this role is to provideproactive collaboration and support to Council's Internal Audit Coordinator andCouncil's Internal Audit function as well as all associated tasks, and championInternal Audit by raising awareness within Council.
About You n
You have demonstrated experience within an internalaudit role, with proficiency in applying Internal Audit standards, procedures, techniquesand advanced principles and practices of fraud analysis and prevention. Youwill have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including theability to interact effectively with both internal and external
stakeholders,strong
analytical and problem-solving skills, exercising sound judgement. Youwill be able to work independently and as part of a team and meetorganisational and legislative deadlines.

Tertiaryqualifications




in Business Administration, Accounting or a relevant businessrelated discipline and/or demonstrated experience within an Internal Audit orRisk Management function
n
Demonstrated experience in a role within anInternal Audit function in a large multidisciplinary organisation
n
Demonstrated understanding of risk
managementprinciples,
governance and controls, and the principles of public
sectoraccountability
n
Experience in an Internal Audit functionwithin local government
n
Knowledge of appropriate
legislativeprovisions
including the Local Government Act **** and Local
Government(General)
Regulation ****
n
Exceptional planning, organisational andproject management skills
n
High Level Communication and
interpersonalskills
n
The right to live and work in Australia
n
Class C Drivers Licence
n
WHS General Construction Work in NSW
n
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
Successful applicants will be required toundergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
