About the Role: n
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Officer 3 days a week (part time or casual) to develop quality, compliance, governance and resident outcomes.
n
Reporting to the General Manager you will support a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that care and services are evidence-based, and responsive to individual needs.
Key responsibilities n
n
Monitor and ensure compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
n
Coordinate accreditation processes, audits, and regulatory submissions
n
Maintain and review policies, procedures, and governance systems
n
Ensure documentation meets legislative and organisational requirements
n
Lead and coordinate continuous improvement activities across the service
n
Analyse quality indicators (e.g., incidents, complaints, clinical data)
n




Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
n
Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions
n
Oversee incident management systems, including reporting, investigation, and follow-up
n
Support risk assessments and mitigation strategies
n
About you n
n
Relevant qualification in Nursing, Health, Quality or related field
n
Current Police Check
n
Experience in aged care quality, compliance or clinical governance
n
Sound knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
n
Strong understanding of risk management and continuous improvement systems
n
Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
n
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
n
Ability to analyse data and drive improvements
n
Commitment to person-centred and culturally safe care
n
Have sound knowledge of different relevant IT systems for example Microsoft Office
n
