About the Role
Joining our
Lifestyles
(home care support) team, you willprovide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes, with travel between clients and working
short
,
split shifts
required.
Ideally you will have experience supporting people with a disability, providing high intensity daily personal activities (including bowel and catheter care) and manual handling (including hoist transfers).
To be considered for a role you must have
availability for early morning and late afternoon shifts
and be willing to commit to a variety of individual client sessions within Menai and surrounds.
Note, shifts will be paid at a minimum of 2 hours and you will be reimbursed $1.07 cents per kilometre travelled between client sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high intensity medical support needs (including bowel/catheter care and PEG-feeding)
Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
Domestic assistance (support with household chores and meal times)
Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
Documenting and progress note keeping
Skills & Experience
Experience providing High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
Previous experience support people with disabilityin a home care setting
Confidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal care
Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
Current First Aid and CPR
Willing to complete basic household chores
Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
