OVERVIEW Hastings People is recruiting for an International Education Partnerships Specialist based in Melbourne or Sydney.
This role focuses on building partnerships across the international education and student accommodation sector to support a growing accommodation business with ambitions to expand its commercial presence.
The position is designed for a skilled with established sector relationships, strong market knowledge, and experience working with international students, education providers, universities, colleges, or study abroad programs.
The successful candidate will help develop sustainable commercial opportunities through trusted partnerships and market insight.
Key responsibilities
Build and strengthen relationships with universities, colleges, student services teams, education providers, agents and international education organisations
Identify group, program, referral and longer-term accommodation opportunities
Develop partnerships and referral channels that position the accommodation offering as a preferred option for international students
Provide market intelligence on accommodation decision-making, student demand, key influencers and emerging opportunities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing,



availability and commercial solutions to convert opportunities into sustainable business
Help the business understand how accommodation decisions are made within the international education sector
Use existing networks and sector credibility to identify decision‐makers and establish valuable partnerships
Requirements
Established network within the international education, tertiary education or student accommodation sector
Strong knowledge of the Melbourne international education and student accommodation market
Understanding of how universities, colleges and education organisations approach accommodation for international students
Ability to engage senior stakeholders and develop genuine partnerships
Commercial awareness and the ability to translate relationships into measurable outcomes
Experience within international education, a university or college, student services, student accommodation, study abroad, education partnerships, international student recruitment, international programs or a related sector
Sector knowledge, relationships and credibility within the education and accommodation market WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports the development of long‐term partnerships that improve accommodation access and opportunities for international students.
