Trainer & Assessor – Construction Trades (Theory & Practical) – Immediate Start n
Pacific College Sydney is seeking suitably qualified and industry-experienced Trainer & Assessors for an immediate start to deliver theoretical and practical training and assessment in one or more of the following nationally recognised qualifications: CPC***** – Certificate III in Solid Plastering, CPC***** – Certificate III in Roof Plumbing, MSF***** – Certificate III in Glass and Glazing. We are looking for experienced tradespeople and VET professionals who have strong practical industry knowledge and are passionate about supporting students to develop job-ready skills.
Key responsibilities n
n
Deliver engaging theory, workshop and practical training sessions.
n
Conduct competency-based assessment in accordance with the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
n
Provide clear feedback and academic support to students.
n
Monitor student attendance, progress and assessment completion.
n
Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
n
Ensure training and assessment practices comply with applicable RTO, ASQA, CRICOS and College requirements.
n
Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
n
Maintain current vocational competency and industry currency.
n
Ensure WHS requirements and safe work practices are followed during practical training.
n
About you n
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent that meets current regulatory requirements.
n
A relevant trade qualification and vocational competency for the
qualification/unit(s)
being delivered and assessed.
n
Relevant and current industry experience in Solid Plastering, Roof Plumbing and/or Glass and Glazing.
n
Demonstrated practical knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, materials and workplace practices.
n
Sound understanding of WHS requirements within the
construction/trades
workplace.
n
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
n
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
n
Previous training and assessment experience within the Australian VET sector.
n
Experience delivering both theory and practical training.
