Job Description

Park Attendant
to join our team.
n
Join our Parks Team and make a difference in our local community! We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Park Attendant to help maintain and improve Council's parks, reserves, sports fields, road reserves, cemeteries, gardens, and beaches.
n
In this exciting and varied role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our local parks and open spaces. You'll undertake a range of tasks, from garden maintenance to asset upkeep of park infrastructure. As a valued member of our team, you'll help create safe and enjoyable outdoor spaces for our community to enjoy.
On a typical day, your duties will include: n
n
Undertaking maintenance across a variety of parks and open spaces, including reserves, sports fields, and cemeteries.
n
Mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning gardens.
n
Treating pests, diseases, and weeds to maintain healthy landscapes.
n
Cleaning and maintaining park facilities, including playgrounds and recreational infrastructure.
n
To be successful in this role you will n
n
Have practical experience in horticulture and the maintenance of parks, gardens, sports fields, and open spaces.
n
Hold a valid driver's licence and be confident operating plant and equipment.
n
Be a reliable and motivated team player, able to work independently when required.
n
Understand and follow workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Be committed to maintaining safe, welcoming, and well‐kept community spaces.
n
Remuneration and Benefits n
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
n
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,****** per week with the opportunity for competency‐based progression up to $1, per week.
n
