Kids Unlimited is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Coaches to join our team across Melbourne's Inner East and Eastern suburbs, including Hawthorn, Kew, Camberwell, Balwyn, Doncaster, Ringwood, Knox and Burwood.
n
For more than 25 years, Kids Unlimited has partnered with primary schools to deliver high-quality extracurricular programs that help children explore their interests, build confidence and develop lifelong skills.
n
About the Role As a Kids Unlimited Coach, you'll deliver engaging extracurricular classes to primary school students from Foundation to Year 6.
Programs run: n
n
During lunchtime
n
After school
n
n
Using our fully prepared lesson plans and resources, you'll guide students through fun, hands-on activities while creating a protected, positive and inclusive learning environment.
n
We provide all training, curriculum and resources.
n
Your role is to bring the lessons to life and create an experience that students look forward to every week.
What Does a Typical Session Look Like? n
Depending on your area of interest, you may:
n
n
Lead exciting science experiments
n
Help students build and program robots
n
Teach coding through games and challenges
n
Coach chess strategy and gameplay
n
Guide creative art and design projects
n
Run skill-building soccer sessions
n
Facilitate drama and performance activities
n
Teach dance routines and movement activities
n
Explore hands-on electronics projects
n
n
No matter the subject,
your goal is the same:

To help children learn, participate, have fun and grow in confidence.
What You'll Be Doing As a Coach, you will: n
n
Deliver engaging classes using Kids Unlimited lesson plans
n
Prepare for your class by reading the lesson plan
n
Set up and pack up program equipment
n
Encourage participation and positive behaviour
n
Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment
n
Communicate professionally with school staff and the Kids Unlimited team
n
Travel between schools within your local area as required
n
Complete simple attendance and session reporting requirements
n

What You'll Need To be considered for this role, you'll need: n

Availability for at least three afternoons per week during school terms
n
A current Employee Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
Reliable transport and willingness to travel between schools
n
Strong communication skills
n
A genuine interest in working with children
n
Knowledge, experience or enthusiasm in one or more of our program areas
n
Important Information n

Most coaching sessions run during lunchtime and after school.
n
Coaches generally work across multiple schools within their local area.
n
Casual positions are available.
n
Additional sessions and programs become available throughout the year.
n
Full training and ongoing support are provided.
n
