About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aboriginal Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Support Coordinator (Adult) to join our team at Danila Dilba Health Service on a contract basis in Darwin, NT.
This critical role supporting client's mental, emotional, and cultural well-being in the Greater Darwin Region.
This position will provide culturally safe and trauma-informed support involving team-oriented development of healing plans with clients, care coordination, and fostering partnerships to enhance individuals' and families' social and emotional health.
What You Need to Succeed
Identify as Aboriginal
Cert IV Mental Health/Cert IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent training/ work experience or lived experience.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
2 or more years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services.
Proven teamwork, communication,
and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.
High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations.
Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar.
Experience working in community, hospital or primary health care setting with clients with a range of presentations and needs
Experience working in Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
6-weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata)
5 days paid leave during our end of year shutdown period (on top of annual leave)
Salary packaging of up to $15,990 per annum

Willing to undergo a Police Check.
Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
